The twenty-fifth anniversary of Leonard Bernstein's passing is marked by the pairing of his theatrical work with a cantata from one of the composers he admired most. J.S. Bach's Cantata 21 and Bernstein's Mass wrestle with faith, doubt, and redemption through each composer's unique mode of expression. The Metropolitan Chorale is joined by singers from the Handel and Haydn Society's Vocal Artists Program.
